Bereavement counselling
The death of a loved one can have a deep effect on one’s life and that of the remaining family. It is always recommended to attend some sort of counselling, to ensure the feelings are adequately addressed.
It is vital that you go through the 4 stages of bereavement in a healthy way, that will allow you to move forward from this tragedy. The stages of bereavement are:
• Acceptance that the loss has happened
• Feeling the pain that comes with grief
• Adjusting to life after the person has died
• Moving on (e.g. .refocusing your emotional energy from the grief to a more positive place)
